Westerville Kitchen

This project features a  condo in the outskirts of Westerville. Having been built in the 1990s, this home needed some upgrades to their well used kitchen. With dark stained cabinetry, laminate countertops, and plenty of yellow tones, the homeowners felt that it was time to brighten and freshen up the space. To express the clients' love for blue tones, we used a blue tile backsplash and navy blue island. To top it off, the countertops were done in the beautiful Cambria Portrush.

One of the challenges faced with this remodel was the countertops. The clients' original selection was Cambria Inverness Cobalt, which was a new product at the time. We were aware that one of the characteristics of the Inverness line was the textured surface and its unique indentations in the veining. However, we realized once the product was installed that some of the textured areas were up to 1/4" in depth. We have since learned that due to the nature of the dye used in the product, the depth of the indentations cannot be predicted and will vary. The clients were not happy with this product and as a result, Cambria replaced their countertops with Portrush, another beautiful white and navy product.
